CSN Mountaineering Club is a school based Mountaineering Club in Bishopstown Cork. It was founded in 1972 making it Corks oldest mountaineering club ... past members have gone on to found clubs in UCC, CIT & UL universities to name but a few. The club goes on about a dozen climbs a year usually in the Cork & Kerry area but trips further afield to Wales have been organised in the past. Also the annual "First Year Climb" sees over 100 First Years take to the hills usually Mangerton or the Paps. We always like to hear from past members who are still hitting the mountains go to the galleries to see what some past members have been up to on mountains all over the world since leaving the school.

We're off to Kerry tomorrow the 10th April. Heading for Mt.Brandon first then probably a stopover in Tralee & then staying in The Climbers Inn Saturday night. Sundays climb will be decided Saturday evening. Photos will be added to the Gallery Monday.

Welcome to the new Site. We're running on a content management system now which means the site is more usuable and active. (It was rarely updated before). The new site isn't completely finished yet, the gallery doesnt seem to work too well in Internet Explorer but everyting works great in FireFox. I'll be adding more pages such as gear lists and anything else I can think of. Any suggestions for the site send it on to mail@csnmc.com
